Mercado Libre Becomes an MVB Client
Latin American E-commerce platform feeds its marketplace with editorial metadata managed by Metabooks
Mercado Libre and the technology and information provider MVB have signed a commercial agreement with the aim of optimizing business processes related to the management of editorial metadata by using Metabooks. To this end, the MVB team provides Mercado Libre with access to its dynamic metadata base in the Brazilian and Mexican markets.
Commenting on the importance of this relationship, Ronald Schild, Global CEO of MVB, says: "We are very pleased that one of the leading marketplaces is working with our Metabooks database for its operation. This will enable users of their service to improve their buying and selling experience, thanks to detailed and standardized information on a large number of books. This is a milestone for our teams in Brazil and Mexico."
Since the arrival of Metabooks in Latin America in 2017, the quest for quality metadata management is growing, as is the relevance given to the subject. In response to this need, countries such as Brazil and Mexico have promoted the integration of technological solutions between publishers, the original source of metadata, and book marketing channels.
