Transformation and communication in the Börsenvereinsgruppe

The world of work is changing rapidly—and we are changing with it. At the Börsenvereinsgruppe, we are reshaping collaboration and leadership.

For us, transformation means constantly developing our working methods and collaboration so that teams can work more flexibly, efficiently, and independently. We made a conscious decision to take this path two years ago. Since then, we have been using various tools and formats that facilitate everyday collaboration and strengthen teams.


Cultural change with clear values

Our goal is to enable decisions to be made where they are needed: directly within the teams. “We want to empower our employees to make decisions independently and take responsibility,” says Dunja Böckling, Head of Organizational and Human Resources Development, describing the cultural orientation.

A central element of this are our team trips: workshop formats that enable teams to work in a solution-oriented manner, give constructive feedback, and take responsibility.


Nonviolent communication as an attitude

Another key element of our corporate culture is Nonviolent Communication (NVC). Our coach and mediator Susanne helps our teams to address conflicts early on and resolve them constructively.

“NVC is much more than a communication tool—it's an attitude,” says Susanne. It strengthens trust, promotes open dialogue, and helps us remain respectful even in challenging situations. This allows us to create spaces where everyone can contribute without fear of mistakes or conflict.


Introduction to personal responsibility

Managers play a key role in ensuring that teams can truly take advantage of the new opportunities for self-organization and open collaboration. At our company, they do not make decisions alone, but involve the team in decisions, guide them toward personal responsibility, give them freedom, and help ensure that changes are successfully implemented in everyday life.

This creates a culture that gives us guidance in our daily work, facilitates change, and enables successful collaboration.
